Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Lowkey by Xenia Manasseh. She is a Kenyan singer and songwriter who is an emPawa 30 artist (part of Mr Eazi's emPawa intitative). Born and raised in Nairobi, she also has Ugandan, Tanzanian and Malawian heritage.

Xenia started out by entering the Kenya National Music Festival, competing in voice, piano and recorder. She attended the Berklee College of Music in America and signed to Atlanta, USA based record label UCMG in 2018. In 2019 she released her debut EP Fallin' Apart, which got to No.1 on the Kenyan iTunes R&B/soul charts.

Lowkey was released in December and is a lo-fi neo soul song about keeping a new relationship quiet.
