Weekly Music Video

Today's video is All I Got by Maro. His real name is Marwan Daou and he is a Lebanese singer-songwriter and YouTuber. He was born in Beirut and has a Lebanese dad and Ukrainian mum.

Maro's grandma taught him to play the piano and he also taught himself to play the guitar. He started his career by posting cover videos on his YouTube channel (inspired by Justin Bieber). In 2018 his cover of Falling Down by the late American rappers Lil Peep and XXXTenation reached over one million views and led to him going to Northern Europe, where he got a music manager and signed to tech music record label SNAFU Records the following year.

In August 2020, Maru released his debut single carsick, which is about an on-off relationship. His 2nd single Take It Back followed in January 2021. He has released several other singles to date, including Addicted to Her Sadness, start again, Never Let You Go and All I Got. In November 2022, he brought out his debut album Words From My Bedroom. 

Maro is multilingual (he speaks French, Arabic, Russian and English) and can sing in 7 languages altogether (including Turkish, Italian and Spanish). His music is influenced by a variety of genres, such as heavy metal, old school hip hop, 90s grunge and pop.

All I Got is Maro's latest single and came out on 30th May. It's an upbeat pop song, a good fit for summer! :) The music video premiered on 28th June.

Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album. K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026.
