This week's video is boyfriend (written in lower case) by American singer Ariana Grande and Social House , a duo consisting of Michael (Mikey) Foster and Charles Anderson. It was released on 2nd August and is the 2nd single from Social House's debut EP Everything Changed... which came out a week later. Please note that the song is explicit and the video contains violent scenes. American singer Bazzi (full name Andrew Bazzi) has released his debut mixtape Soul Searching. He previously released his debut album Cosmic in April 2018. Soul Searching came out on 9th August and consists of 11 tracks including the single Paradise, Focus featuring 21 Savage, I.F.L.Y and Soul Searching (although I'm not sure if the last one is an official single). The music is similar to his album, hip hop/rap and R'n'B, with the same laid back vibes. My favourite songs are Humble Beginnings, Focus and Can We Go Back to Bed? and I also like I.F.L.Y and  Soul Searching. Here are some of my fave songs. Today's music video is Jake Jake by Dhurata Dora . Her real name is Dhurata Murturi and she's an Albanian singer, born in Nuremberg, Bavaria  (Germany) to Kosovar Albanian parents. She released her debut single Vete kërkove in Kosovo in 2011. Her most popular singles include Get Down with Don Arbas , I Like dat and A bombi. She has also collaborated with Young Zerka on the 2014 song Roll . Jake Jake came out in June 2018. The language is Albanian, although I'm not sure which dialect. Other Albanian singers I've come across speak and sing Gheg Albanian . I'm a horror film fan and two new horror movies are coming out soon- Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark and IT Chapter Two, so I thought it would be cool to do a post on them. :) Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark is based an 1980s series of books by American author Alvin Schwartz . In the film a group of teenagers living in the town of Mill Valley in 1968, come across a book of scary stories written by a girl called Sarah who lived in an old mansion. The teens discover that the stories have a life of their own... Here's a trailer: I'd never heard of these books, I think they weren't so well known in the UK. I expect I would have enjoyed reading them as a child and teen, since I was into Goosebumps and Are You Afraid of the Dark? Swedish/British singer Mabel just released her debut album High Expectations yesterday  (2nd August). Daughter of Swedish singer Neneh Cherry and British music producer Cameron McVey , Mabel was born in Spain, grew up in Stockholm in Sweden and later moved to the UK. She released her debut single Know Me Better back in summer 2015, so her first album has been a long time coming! She previously brought out the EP Bedroom and the mixtape Ivy to Roses , but this is her first full length, studio album.
