It's been a while I last did a post on new K-pop releases; it was back in April in fact! So it's time for a new one. :)  (Plus one J-pop release!). You can read the last post here: http://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2017/04/new-k-pop-releases.html



GOT7- TURN UP

GOT7 have a new single TURN UP.  It's from their upcoming Japanese language mini album of the same name which is due for release on 15th November. Member Jackson is currently taking a break from the group due to health issues.






GOT7's latest Korean EP is 7 for 7 which was released on 10th October. Here is the most recent single from it, You Are.





TWICE- LIKEY

Girl group TWICE's  latest single is called LIKEY. It was released on 30th October and you can also find it on their debut studio album Twicetagram which came out on the same day.




JBJ- Fantasy


JBJ are a boyband formed at the request of K-pop fans. The group consists of 7 members- Kim Yong Guk aka Longguo, Kwon Hyun Bin. Kid Monster (real name Noh Tae Hyun) who is also a member of HOTSHOT), Takada Kenta, Kim Dong Han, Kim Tae Dong and A-Tom (real name Kim Sang Kyun) who is a member of Topp Dogg. Kenta is Japanese and the other members are Korean.*

Update 21/11/17: Longguo was born in China.




JBJ debuted in September. Their first mini album Fantasy was released on 18th October and the single Fantasy came out on the same day. (Click the Caption link on YouTube for English subtitles!).

MONSTA X- DRAMARAMA


This is MONSTA X'S  new one DRAMARAMA. It's from their 7th EP The Code which came out on 7th Nov. 






EXID- DDD

Finally EXID have a new song called DDD. (I remember Koda Kumi had a single called DDD with Soulhead). It's from their EP Full Moon which was also released on 7th November.

K-pop Comebacks- BTS

Sorry the 2nd post is later again this week, I didn't manage to get it finished yesterday. :) Last month I started a mini series called K-pop Comebacks, featuring the comebacks of K-pop groups during 2026. The first one was about BLACKPINK and you can see it here:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2026/03/k-pop-comebacks-blackpink.html Today I'm focusing on BTS (one of the most popular Korean boybands ). They debuted in 2013 and are a 7-member group, made up of leader RM, formerly known as Rap Monster (real name Kim Nam Joon), SUGA (Min Yoon Gi), Jin (full name Kim Seok Jin), j-hope (Jung Ho-seok), Jimin (Park Ji Min), V (Kim Tae Hyung) and Jungkook (Jeon Jung Kook). * Since then, the boys have been very successful, not only in South Korea but internationally. Weekly Music Video

Sorry there wasn't a 2nd post last week, I was going through a bit of a stressful time and didn't manage to get one finished. :) This week's video is I CONDEMN by Australian singer and rapper The Kid LAROI . It was the first single from the deluxe version of his second album BEFORE I FORGET. The original album was released in January and the deluxe version came out on 24th April. It contains 9 extra tracks, including  I CONDEMN and latest single PIECES. I wasn't aware that there was a deluxe version until I saw that some new songs had appeared on Spotify! I like BEFORE I FORGET and my favourite songs from the original version are ME + YOU, JULY,  COME DOWN and RATHER BE featuring Australian rapper and singer Lithe . One of my fave songs on the deluxe version is QUIT YOU, and I also like HOLD STILL and I CONDEMN. The newest single PIECES came out on out the same day as the album.
