Tollywood and Bollywood Videos

I haven't posted any Tollywood videos for ages, so I thought I'd share one today and also a Bollywood video, since I had planned to post more about Bollywood this year!

First up this is Seeti Maar from the Bollywood film DJ - Duvvada Jagannadham. It's an action comedy which came out in June and is about a man called Duvvada Jagannadham (played by Allu Arjun), a Brahmin priest who moonlights as DJ,  a crime fighter in disguise (like a superhero!). He falls in love with Pooja (Pooja Hegde) who is involved with a crime boss.

This is a dance scene from the movie. The playback singers are Jaspreet Jasz and Rita.

And here is Piya More from the Bollywood film Baadshaho which stars Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi (one of my favourite actors), Ileana D'Cruz, Esha Gupta and Vidyut Jamwal. The film is set during the Emergency time period in the mid 70s. Indian queen Gitanjali (played by Ileana who started out in Tollywood) asks her bodyguard Bhawani Singh (Ajay) to steal back gold for her, which was taken from her palace in Jaipur by the government. Bhawani gathers a team together to carry out her wish. Emraan plays army officer Dalia.

This is inspired by real life events and the character of Gitanjali is based on the Maharani Gayatri Devi. Baadshaho was released on 1st September.

The video for Piya More features Emraan and Canadian/American actress Sunny Leone, who is an item girl in Baadshaho, appearing as a dancer. It's not the full song I don't think. The playback singers are Mika Singh and Neeti Mohan.

Random fact: I just read that Sunny is in Ja Rule's Living It Up video! You can look out for her here:

Both films sound interesting but Baadshaho seems like the one I'd like the most. :)

Emraan fan too? Check out these posts:

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant

Earlier this month I did a post on the new series of Teen Mom UK. At the end of of the post I mentioned that a new show had started in America called Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant. It's now due to start in the UK next week, so here's more about the programme. :)

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant is the latest in the Teen Mom franchise which started with the 2009 series 16 and Pregnant. It follows 5 girls- Ashely, Brianna, Kayla, Lexi and Jade. Their ages vary from 17 to 21.

Lexi Tatman

The clip of Lexi was the first one I saw. She's 17 and  a cheerleader from Colorado. Her baby son's father is Kyler Lopez and she split-up with him before finding out she was pregnant. When you see Lexi cheerleading while pregnant it reminds me of Farrah Abraham (from Teen Mom OG) in her 16 and Pregnant episode!

Here are Lexi's social media links:

Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Love Lies by  Khalid featuring Normani (from American girl group Fifth Harmony). Khalid (full name Khalid Donnell Robinson) is an American singer who started out by posting music to Soundcloud and then featured on Alina Baraz's single Electric in early 2016. He released his debut single Location in July 2016, which is one of his biggest hits to date. His debut album American Teen came out in March 2017.

Khalid's other singles include Young, Dumb & Broke. Love Lies and OTW with rappers/singers Ty Dolla $ign and 6LACK.

Love Lies was released on Valentine's Day (14th Feb) and is from soundtrack of  the American film Love, Simon. I've only seen the video in the last month though). It's the first single Normani has released outside of Fifth Harmony, who are currently on hiatus.

Top 10 True Movies

I like watching films based on true stories. I used to watch them occasionally as a child and teen but I started watching them more after the True Movies channels (True Movies 1 and True Movies 2) launched on Sky 11 years ago. It seems weird that it's been so long, lol. I usually watch the films on those channels (or True Entertainment) but I also sometimes watch them on Lifetime or other channels. (I think a lot of these are Lifetime original movies but we didn't get the Lifetime channel in the UK until late 2013).

I thought that today I'd share my Top 10 True Movies. :)

Trigger warning:

Most of the films are based on crimes (often murder or abuse) and I realise these are difficult subjects, so read with caution if you're sensitive to these type of films.

Posts may contain spoilers. Unless otherwise stated, videos are trailers. :)
