Some Mariah Carey + J.Lo Songs

Two of my favourite singers are Mariah Carey and Jennifer Lopez. In the past I've done Top 10 posts and follow ups for both of them but this time I thought it would be good to do a combination post. :)

Here are my previous Mariah posts: Top 10 Mariah Carey Songs, More Mariah songs and
And more Mariah songs!

And my previous J.Lo posts:  Top 10 Jennifer Lopez Songs and More J.Lo songs.

Mariah Carey

You Got Me (with Freeway and Jay-Z)

This song is from Mariah's 9th album Charmbraclet and is one of my faves on it. It wasn't released as a single, so there's no video.

Update 22/5/20: The orginal video is gone. There's now an official upload on Mariah's channel which I can't link to directly on here, so here's the YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpcLNZq19ac

Makin' It Last All Night (What It Do) feat. Jermaine Dupri

This song appeared on the Ultra Platinum (re-release) edition of The Emancipation of Mimi, which was released in November 2005. I don't tend to get the same album twice but I do have both versions of The Emancipation! This wasn't a single either.

H.A.T.E U

H.A.T.E U was the 3rd single from Mariah's 12th album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (2009) and came out in November 2009.

Jennifer Lopez

Loving You

Loving You is one of my favourite songs from J.Lo's 3rd album This Is Me...Then. It's got an old fashioned vibe, similar to Still. It wasn't a single so has no video.

Ain't It Funny

This is the original version which features on J.Lo (2001). It was the 3rd single from the album. Apparently it was intended for Jennifer's film The Wedding Planner but it wasn't used in the end. There's also a remix which I really like. (Click the More J.Lo songs link to watch the remix video).

I like the gypsy theme in the video and Jennifer's love interest! lol. He was played by Mexican actor and singer Eduardo Verastegui, who's most well known for starring in Mexican soap operas (telenovelas).

So Good

So Good is one of my favourite songs from Jennifer's latest album (her 8th studio release) A.K.A, which came out in June 2014. It would be good for a future single. :)

Hope you like the songs! Who do you prefer, Mariah or J.Lo? Or do you like them both? :)

Unexpected Girls Updates

Back in September I did a post about the American reality TV show Unexpected. You can read it here: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2018/09/unexpected.html There have been two seasons (or series as we also call it in the UK ) so far. There will be a 3rd one  featuring mums Lexus, Mckayla and Chloe (Chloe joined in Series 2). Emiley who joined in Season 2, says she isn't returning (see below) so. Laura (who also joined in S2) will also not be back (see below for more on that). Original cast member Lexus shared a casting call on her Instagram page in November, so it seems the company is looking for new girls due to give birth from March to June 2019. Check out the post here; https://www.instagram.com/p/BpzfLAjg8ek/ The gossip site Starcasm also reports that Unexpected's producers are casting for a new programme: https://starcasm.net/unexpected-producers-casting-pregnant-teens-from-same-high-school-or-tap-program-for-new-reality-series/  Note: Starcasm sometimes slows my c

Top 10 True Movies

I like watching films based on true stories. I used to watch them occasionally as a child and teen but I started watching them more after the True Movies channels (True Movies 1 and True Movies 2) launched on Sky 11 years ago. It seems weird that it's been so long, lol. I usually watch the films on those channels (or True Entertainment) but I also sometimes watch them on Lifetime or other channels. (I think a lot of these are Lifetime original movies but we didn't get the Lifetime channel in the UK until late 2013). I thought that today I'd share my Top 10 True Movies. :) Trigger warning: Most of the films are based on crimes (often murder or abuse) and I realise these are difficult subjects, so read with caution if you're sensitive to these type of films. Posts may contain spoilers. Unless otherwise stated, videos are trailers. :) 1. Indecent Seduction (1996) This is also known as For My Daughter's Honor but they show it in the UK under Indecent Sed

Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant UK

The Teen Mom universe keeps growing! This month sees the start of a brand new spin-off- a UK version of Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant . The original Teen Mom, now re-named Teen Mom OG (itself a spin-off on the American reality show 16 and Pregnant , which follows pregnant teenagers) started in 2009 and there have been several other shows since- Teen Mom 2 , Teen Mom 3 (cancelled after one season), Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant and Teen Mom: Young Moms Club (formerly Pretty Little Mamas). There have also been several international versions, including Teen Mom UK and Teen Mom Australia . Series 6 of TM: UK just finished and now the British version of Young and Pregnant is due to start next week. TM: Young and Pregnant UK follows 4 new girls- Charlie, Alisha, Laura and Charlotte who are all expecting babies. When TM UK started only Mia Boardman was pregnant but this time all of the mums were pregnant during filming. (Which makes sense since this is "young and pregnant"! lol
