This week's video is Wanted by Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage . She's originally from Lagos, Nigeria but moved to London when she was 11 and later went to America. I first listened to her as part of the 1000 Songs In a Year challenge I did during 2014 and 2015. Tiwa studied at Berklee College of  Music in Boston, US and got a degree in professional music. In 2006 she took part in the UK X Factor and was signed to Sony/ATV Music Publishing in 2009. Her debut single Kele Kele Love came out in November 2010 and her debut studio album Once Upon A Time was released  in July 2013. Since then Tiwa has been featured on the compliation album Solar Plexus (2012) and released her 2nd studio album R.E.D (Romance, Expression and Dance) last year. Her other singles include Love Me (3x), Ife Wa Ganoma, Eminado featuring Don Jazzy , Love In Yellow, My Darlin' and her latest African Waist. She sings in both English and the Nigerian language Yoruba . Wanted is from Once Upon a Time.

Katy B has released a new single called Calm Down. It's a collboration with Four Tet and Floating Points and is from Katy's new project Honey. Calm Down came out last month.

This is one of my favourite Epica songs, Tides of Time. It's from their 2009 album Design Your Universe. It's a haunting, melancholy kind of song which is maybe why I like it! Tides of Time was never realeased as a single so there's no music video but this is a lyrics video. :)

This is a dance video featuring the girls from reality show Dance Moms (Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Kendall, Kalani and JoJo) as well as some others girls. Dancer and choreographer Rumer Noel has choregraphed a dance to Tinashe's Player and she performs it with girls in this video. It's interesting to see the Dance Moms' girls perform a different routine. This is hip hop which they don't dance a lot of. It's a good dance. Update 19/1/22: The original video is gone for some reason (I believe it was on Rumer's official channel). But I think this is the same one on another channel. Back in August (doesn't seem that long ago!) I featured JoJo's song Save My Soul as my Weekly Music Video . It's part of her Tringle release (3 singles) and is my favourite song out of the 3. Last July (can't believe it's been that long!) I posted about The X-Files returning to TV for a new series . Back then the estimated return date of January seemed a long time away but now it's here and the new series will premiere in the US on 24th January on FOX. It's not in the UK just yet but we don't have to wait long because it's coming in February. The new series is 6 episodes long, so it's a mini series really but they may make more depending on how successful it is. It's been over 13 years (14 in May) since The X-Files ended so it will be interesting to see the characters now and what they're doing with the show. As I mentioned in my original post (which you can view here: ( http://starsparklex.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/return-of-x-files.html ) main characters Mulder (played by David Duchovny and Scully ( Gillian Anderson ) are returning as well as their boss Skinner ( Mitch Pileggi ) and his former boss, The Smoking Man ( William B. Davis ).

Today's video is My Boy My Town by Mabel. Her full name is Mabel McVey and she's the daughter of Swedish singer Neneh Cherry and British music producer Cameron McVey . She released her debut single Know Me Better last summer. My Boy My Town came out in November.
