Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Growl by EXO . They are a Korean/Chinese boyband consisting of 12 members who are divided into subgroups, EXO-K and EXO-M. EXO-K sing in Korean and EXO-M sing in Mandarin . Their name comes from the tern "exoplanet" (a planet outside the solar system). The members of EXO-K are Suho, Kai, Baekhyun, D.O., Chanyeol and Sehun (all Korean) and EXO-M's members are Kris (Chinese/Canadian) Xiumin and Chen, (both Korean) and Luhan, Lay and Tao (all Chinese). Suho and Kris are the team leaders of their respective groups. EXO released their prologue single (I think like a "pre debut" for the EP) What Is Love in January 2012, their debut single and EP Mama in April 2013 and their debut album XOXO in June 2013. (A repackaged version was released 2 months later). They also brought out another EP called Miracles in December at the end of 2013 and are due to release their 3rd EP, Overdose later this year. All their music is released in two versions,...

Weekly Music Video

This week's video is Within My World by Michael McCarthy. Classical isn't my favourite music genre but I do like some songs and I used to watch the TV channel Classic FM sometimes. I saw the video on there. It's a song from Dracula the musical . (I never knew it was from Dracula, I thought the video and song were weird but didn't know the actual storyline!). Michael McCarthy is an Irish singer who has been performing since he was 15. He started his career by performing lead roles at the Cork Opera House. Michael has been in many concerts and theatre productions since, and has released 3 CDs, Broadway, Living For The Moment and You're Still You. He has also acted in films and TV programmes, including The 10th Kingdom and Jesus Christ Superstar . Within My World is on the Dracula album by Sang de Vie (2007). If you're interested you can buy it here: Dracula on Amazon Update 9/4/22: The video is now gone but here is a fan video; For more on Michael visi...

Weekly Music Video

I was going to post a video from Dhoom 3 but since I haven't posted one from Dhoom 2 yet, I decided to do them both together. :) Dhoom: 2 is the sequel to the Bollywood film Dhoom (2004). The main song from Dhoom is Dhoom Machale . In Dhoom:2 (2006) police officer A.C.P. Weekly Music Video

Today it's Too Close by Blue . They're a British boyband consisting of 4 members, Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa. The boys formed the group in 2000 and released their debut single All Rise and album of the same name in 2001. They were kind of an updated Another Level ! Blue were one of my favourite bands. :) My fave member was Lee and I liked Duncan as well. They brought out 2 more albums, One Love (2002) and Guilty (2003) before taking a break in 2005. Some of their most successful singles were All Rise, Too Close and Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word featuring Elton John . In 2009 the band reformed and went on to represent the UK at Eurovision two years later. Their latest album is Roulette (2013) and they were part of The Big Reunion last year, a reality TV series about old pop groups reforming. Too Close is my favourite Blue song. It was the 2nd single from All Rise and became their first No 1 single when it was released in August 2001. The song...
