This week's video is Bounce by Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee,
featuring Maua Sama and Tommy Flavour. It samples Jamaican singer and rapper Wayne
Wonder's Bounce Along (another song I like) and the video was uploaded
to YouTube in November.
Bounce is on Vanessa's debut Money Mondays which was released in January.
Earlier this month I did a post on the new series of Teen Mom UK. At the end of of the post I mentioned that a new show had started in America called Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant. It's now due to start in the UK next week, so here's more about the programme. :)
Teen Mom: Young and Pregnant is the latest in the Teen Mom franchise which started with the 2009 series 16 and Pregnant. It follows 5 girls- Ashely, Brianna, Kayla, Lexi and Jade. Their ages vary from 17 to 21.
The clip of Lexi was the first one I saw. She's 17 and a cheerleader from Colorado. Her baby son's father is Kyler Lopez and she split-up with him before finding out she was pregnant. When you see Lexi cheerleading while pregnant it reminds me of Farrah Abraham (from Teen Mom OG) in her 16 and Pregnant episode!
This week's video is Love Lies by Khalid featuring Normani (from American girl group Fifth Harmony). Khalid (full name Khalid Donnell Robinson) is an American singer who started out by posting music to Soundcloud and then featured on Alina Baraz's single Electric in early 2016. He released his debut single Location in July 2016, which is one of his biggest hits to date. His debut album American Teen came out in March 2017.
Khalid's other singles include Young, Dumb & Broke. Love Lies and OTW with rappers/singers Ty Dolla $ign and 6LACK.
Love Lies was released on Valentine's Day (14th Feb) and is from soundtrack of the American film Love, Simon. I've only seen the video in the last month though). It's the first single Normani has released outside of Fifth Harmony, who are currently on hiatus.
I like watching films based on true stories. I used to watch them occasionally as a child and teen but I started watching them more after the True Movies channels (True Movies 1 and True Movies 2) launched on Sky 11 years ago. It seems weird that it's been so long, lol. I usually watch the films on those channels (or True Entertainment) but I also sometimes watch them on Lifetime or other channels. (I think a lot of these are Lifetime original movies but we didn't get the Lifetime channel in the UK until late 2013).
I thought that today I'd share my Top 10 True Movies. :)
Most of the films are based on crimes (often murder or abuse) and I realise these are difficult subjects, so read with caution if you're sensitive to these type of films.
Posts may contain spoilers. Unless otherwise stated, videos are trailers. :)
