Today's video is Princess GaL (Harajuku Y2K ver.) by Japanese singer Hamano Haruki (or Haruki Hamano in Western terms). She is a Japanese singer-songwriter from Fukuoka. Haruki's music is a mixture of J-pop, hip hop and rap and her lyrics are described as  "sensual and realistic, with a touch of venom" . Born in 2000 herself, she is popular with Generation Z women and has stated that her goal is to "be a friend to all women". Haruki released her debut EP 2000 in 2021 and has since released 4 more- nichijounonakaniaruhinichijou (2022), To the past me, so that I can laugh. (2022), Hamano Haruki "Re:Arranged (2023), LovE ToXic (2023). She just brought out her 1st album NET BaBy on 7th May. There's some good music coming out lately, so I thought it was time for another New Music Releases post! I've written two other ones this year, in May and August . I'm featuring a mix of genres, Western and Asian pop style. :)   Katy Perry feat. Doechii- I'M HIS, HE'S MINE First up is a new song by American singer Katy Perry . It's called I'M HIS, HE'S MINE and features rapper and singer Doechii . It actually came out on 13th September, so isn't really new but I just came across it on MTV recently! I'M HIS, HE'S MINE is the 3rd single from Katy's 7th studio album 143, which was released on 20th September. It follows previous singles WOMAN'S WORLD (released in July) and LIFETIMES (released in August). It's a dance ( house ) and pop song where Katy and Doechii warn other women off their men! So here's some new music, including K-pop and R'n'B. :)    KARD- Tell My Momma First up, some K-pop! This is Tell My Momma, the latest single by Korean group KARD . It's from their 7th mini album Where To Now? Part 1 : Yellow Light), which was released on 13th August. Tell My Momma is about reaching the stage in a new relationship where you want to tell your mother about your partner. It's mostly English language with some Korean lyrics (in J.Seph's rap). Today's video is Don't Tell Nobody, the new single by Japanese boy band ONE OR EIGHT . After releasing the pre-debut song KAWASAKI in June, they just made their official debut  with this song. Don't Tell Nobody is a high energy pop/R'B song with hip hop vibes, and mostly English language but with a couple of Japanese lines. It was released on 16th August. As with the other post, I've called it ""New(ish)" because some videos are a bit older. :)  [JPOP IN PUBLIC] YOASOBI- IDOL- Dance Cover by Archery Star First up, some J-pop in Public ! This is a dance cover of Idol by Japanese pop duo YOASOBI . The duo is made up of musician and record producer Ayase and singer-songwriter Lilas Ikuta. Idol was released in April 2023. The cover is performed by Australian based dance group Archery Star and was uploaded in March.
