World Music Round-up- Africa and Asia

I like a variety of music from around the world, so I thought today I'd do a round-up of world music posts on the blog. :) I was originally going to include more countries but it was turning into a really long post, so I've split it up! I'm starting with music from African and Asian countries. Note: I've listed the countries and singers/groups in alphabetical order to make it easier but the Bollywood, Kollywood and Tollywood films are listed in order of posting (from oldest to newest) because that was how I did the previous Bollywood round-up post.  Text size has been corrected so this should be easier to read now! :) Africa Angola Perola: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2015/11/weekly-music-video_18.html Cameroon Henri Dikongue: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2012/01/weekly-music-video_25.html Egypt Amr Diab:  https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2013/06/weekly-music-video_26.html Ruby: https://starsparklex.blogspot.com/2016/06/weekly-music-

Weely Music Video

This week's video (or audio!) is SHE DON'T LOVE ME by Zayn aka ZAYN. It's from his debut solo album Mind of Mine and is reportedly about his ex-fiancee Perrie Edwards, from British girl group Little Mix . I think it's one of the best songs on the album. :) Please note that the song is explicit. :) Update 30/12/16: I had to replace the original video because it was gone. 5/1/19: Video got deleted again here's another one:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=noNfjigfrh4 For more songs from Mind of Mine check out these posts:   http://starsparklex.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/weekly-music-video_30.html http://starsparklex.blogspot.co.uk/2016/06/weekly-music-video.html

New Nick Jonas Album

American singer Nick Jonas has just released his 3rd album Last Year Was Complicated. It came out yesterday (10th June) and I listened to it on Spotify . It;s a good album, my favourites so far are Voodoo, Bacon, Good Girls and The Difference but I liked most of it. I may buy the physical CD or maybe individual songs, I haven't decided yet. I'll listen to it a couple more times. Today I thought I'd share a few of my fave songs. :) Here is the video for Bacon featuring rapper Ty Dolla $ign , which is a promotional single.

Weekly Music Video

Today's video is Leih Beydary Keda by Egyptian singer Ruby aka Roubi. Her real name is Rania Hussein Muhammad Tawfiq and she's also an actress and model. She started out modelling and went on to appear in a music video and TV adverts before getting into films. Her career really took off after the release of her debut single Enta Aref Leih/Inta Aref Leh (Do you Know Why?)* in July 2003 which caused controversy due to the video, which she belly danced in and wore a skimpy costume. (This caused problems since Egypt is a conservative Muslim country). In 2004 Ruby released her debut albulm Eba'a Abelni/Abely and the same year brought out her second single Leih Beydary Keda. She has released two more albums, Meshit Wara Ehsasy (2007) and Inta Jubnya Keda (2009) and two more singles, El Gharaam (Koll Amma A'ollo Ah) from the film Saba' Wara'aat Kotcheena (7 Playing Cards) which she starred in and Yal Ramoush (which according to Wikipedia translates as Wonderful Eyel

It's one of my favourite songs on the album and I bought it on iTunes . :) And then here is Into You which is Ariana's latest single: I also bought Knew Better/Forever Boy which you can listen to here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyuChvJOISc For more songs from Dangerous Woman check out this post: http://starsparklex.blogspot.co.uk/2016/03/new-ariana-grande-songs.html Do you have a favourite song from the album?
