This week's video is Shed My Skin by Dutch band Within Temptation and featuring Annisokay , a band from Germany. The song is about dealing with changes in life and growing as a person, even when that means leaving  behind others we love but have grown apart from. This week's video is The Purge by Dutch band Within Temptation . It's quite a while since I've posted anything by them. I don't always follow their music that closely, but their last album was 2019's Resist and I don't think they've released that many singles since then. The band is doing an online show called The Aftermath- A Show In A Virtual Reality on 8th and 9th July. This week's video is Fires in the North by Leaves' Eyes . It's their latest song. I still think it's a shame that Liv Kristine left/was sacked (she says the rest of Leaves' Eyes fired her while they say she left) but new singer Elina has a good voice which suits this song. It must be hard going into such a long running band. It will be interesting to hear further music and I also look forward to hearing new stuff from Liv. :) This is the official lyric video.

Last night I watched a Within Temptation concert on TV. It was from their Elements concert in Antwerp, Belgium, which took place in 2012. At the time the band were celebrating 15 years of being together. It was a good concert, so I thought I'd share a couple of clips here. :) Here is Candles: And Memories: Hope you enjoy the songs. :)

Today's video is Paradise (What About Us?) by Within Temptation featuring Tarja . It's the first single from the band's new album Hydra and will be released this month. Hydra is out on 31st January.

Today's video is for the song Aquarius by Within Temptation . It's from their album The Silent Force (2004) and is my favourite Within Temptation song. :) There isn't an actual music video because Aquarius wasn't released as a single.                                 

Today it's Angels by Within Temptation . They are a Dutch metal/rock band, their earlier music has been described as gothic metal but they consider themselves a "melodic, symphonic rock" band with different influences. Within Temptation was formed in 1996 by vocalist Sharon den Adel and her boyfriend guitarist Robert Westerholt. They were joined by other members of Robert's previous band The Circle (now Voyage), bass guitarists Jeroen van Veen, guitar player Michiel Papenhove, keyboardist Martijn Westerholt (Robert's brother) and drummer Dennis Leeflang. The current members are Sharon, lead guitarist Ruud Jolie, Jeroen, drummer Mike Coolen, keyboard player Martijn Spierenburg, who replaced drummer Stephen van Haestregt in 2010 and guitar player Stefan Hellenblad, who joined the band in 2011, after Robert decided he wanted to focus more on producing and writing rather than performing live.
