British rapper/singer B Young and American singer BANKS (two artists who I like) have released new music, so I thought I'd share it here today. :)   B Young feat. Tayc- So Distant First up is So Distant, the latest single by B Young. It's a collaboration with Cameroonian French singer Tayc (real name Julien Franck Bouadjie) and is a mixture of English and French lyrics. Subtitles for the opposite language are provided, which is cool! :) So Distant is the 5th single (I think) from B Young's debut album Differences (released last August). The album version is just called Distant and doesn't feature Tayc though. This week's video is Let Go by British singer Sinead Harnett . It's the latest single from the deluxe version of her 2nd album Ready is Always Too Late, originally released in May last year. The deluxe edition was released on 28th January and features 3 extra tracks- a cover of the late singer Aaliyah's At Your Best (You Are Love), Let Go and Where You Been Hiding. Let Go is a chilled R'n'B song and the video has a 90s vibe! It's choreographed by Patience J, a dancer, choreographer, actress and teacher from the UK. She has worked for several African and Western artists, including Mr Eazi , Burna Boy , Pet Shop Boys and David Guetta . Please note that the following song and video contain themes that may be distressing. Today's video is Sell Me Your Love, the latest English single by Japanese singer MIREI (full name Touyama Mirei, or Mirei Touyama in Western terms).  The song is about a real life stabbing that took place in Kabukicho (Tokyo's red-light district) in 2019. A woman knifed her boyfriend who was working as a nightclub host. MIREI reflects on how love can go wrong when it's treated as something to be bought and sold. Sell Me Your Love was released on 11th February. I believe the case being referred to is that of Yuka Takaoka and Phonix Luna, although reports I found said that Phoenix survived. In MIREI's info about the song on YouTube, she describes it as fatal. Valentine's Day is coming up (Monday 14th Feb), so I thought I would share my favourite love/sexy songs! Good for getting into a loving vibe. :) Lumidee feat. Shaggy- Feel Like Makin' Love First up is Feel Like Makin' Love by American rapper and singer Lumidee and featuring Jamaican rapper Shaggy . Lumidee (full name Lumidee Cedeño) is probably best known for her 2003 single Never Leave You (Uh Ooh, Uh Ooh) and also Crazy with Pitbull in 2007 (although I think Crazy was either not released in the US, or didn't do as well as it did here in the UK). Feel Like Makin' Love is from her 2nd album Unexpected (which came out in 2007). It's a cover of Roberta Flack's 1975 song . Lumidee and Shaggy's version was released as a single in 2007. I don't think it came out over here, as I didn't actually know there was a video for this until looking it up for this post!  I also didn't know it was a cover, lol. This week's video is Blue Naina by Indian musicians Kenishaa Francis and Tejas Agarwal. Kenishaa is a singer and performer based in Bangalore, who is also a mental health advocate. She mostly sings in English and Tamil, and this is her debut Hindi song . Tejas is a drummer and singer. Blue Naina came out on 31st January. The video stars model and actress Tanya Hope who has appeared in Kannada films (Kannada language movie industry, also known as Sandalwood or Chandanavana), Tollywood (Telugu language) and Kollywood (Tamil) films, actress Ameerah and dancer Kishen Bilagali .
